One Week Until Eldmere Opens Its Doors—Will You Break the Rules?

Right. Deep breath. Cup of tea in hand. Possibly some biscuits. I have big news.

We are officially one week away from the launch of Welcome to Eldmere—my brand-new horror anthology filled with stories that are eerie, atmospheric, and just unsettling enough to make you wonder if that creak in the hallway is the pipes… or something else.

If you’ve been following along, you’ll know this collection has been a labour of love, stitched together with sweat, midnight edits, and the occasional whispered warning from the woods behind my house (probably foxes. Hopefully).

So. What is Eldmere?

Eldmere is the kind of town that clings to your skin. A quiet place with quiet people—and three very important rules:

  1. Don’t go out in the dark.
  2. Don’t whistle in the woods.
  3. Don’t answer the door when the knocks come in threes.

Naturally, people break them.

The stories in this collection are the result.

You’ll meet Miriam, who attends a grief support group in The Cradle’s Call and finds comfort in a rocking lullaby… until something begins to hum back. You’ll visit the local antiques shop in Half Price, where mirrors don’t reflect what you think they should. And you’ll walk the cobbled path of Ash Lane, a street that shouldn’t exist, but… somehow does.

Every tale is a stand-alone glimpse into the lives (and final moments) of Eldmere’s residents. Some disappear without a trace. Some leave… something behind. All of them will make you think twice about stepping outside after sunset.

The collection lands on 2 May 2025, and I’m beyond excited for you to read it. If you enjoy:

  • Quiet towns with loud secrets
  • Liminal spaces that twist when you’re not looking
  • And stories that whisper you were warned as they tuck you in at night…

…then this is the book for you.

Here’s the part where I humbly ask for your support:
Pre-orders are officially open.

They’re not just helpful—they’re massive for indie authors like me. Every single pre-order tells the algorithm gods that maybe—just maybe—this strange little book about a cursed town is worth paying attention to.

So, if you’re curious…
If you like the idea of being just a little unsettled before bed…

And remember—if you hear three knocks on your door next Friday?

Don’t answer.

You’ve been warned.

Don’t Whistle in the Woods — Seriously.

It starts with a walk. Just a quiet stroll beneath bare branches, where the frost crackles underfoot and the world forgets to breathe. James wanted silence. Space. Somewhere the noise couldn’t follow him. He found it in the forest. But there’s a reason Eldmere’s woods are always empty. A reason the locals walk the long
