It’s officially one week until Lingering Curses launches into the world, and I could not be more thrilled (or mildly cursed, to be honest).
This new anthology has been brewing in the shadows for months, stitched together with gothic whispers, antique dust, and more bone keys than any one person should reasonably own.
So what is Lingering Curses?
It’s a horror anthology built around cursed objects, each one with a story to tell—and none of them ending well. These aren’t your standard evil trinkets. Some of them were forged in ancient blood rites. Others are more recent, cursed by accident or malice or something far older.
From bone keys that loop time and identity (Bone Key), to music boxes that promise inspiration but whisper melodies you’ll never forget (Music Box), this collection is filled with psychological spirals, supernatural dread, and the occasional descent into madness.
Some more highlights? Oh, I’m so glad you asked:
🩸 Ring – Found in the chest cavity of a corpse during an autopsy.
💍 Widow’s Veil – Eternal love sounds sweet—until it leads you into an open grave with a stranger you’re convinced you remember.
🥁 War Drum – A Mongolian artefact that drums inside your bones and drags you into a different life. (Possibly not yours.)
Each story stands alone, but together they explore what it means to long for something—recognition, love, peace—and what we’re willing to trade for it.
